It’s November and almost time for the holiday season. You’ve obviously started thinking about gifting and we have the perfect solution for you. We are also thrilled to let you know that, although we are not open to the public, we are taking coin orders electronically and telephonically, and have a new collection process.


It has not been an easy year with the global spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which led to the declaration of a National State of Disaster and, subsequently, a national lockdown. The restrictions that came with this lockdown not only meant that we could not trade, but also that our manufacturing operations had to be kept to an absolute minimum.


Although we still find ourselves in Level 1 of the national lockdown, we can take comfort in the fact that we’ve made it this far. We can finally give you the exciting news that we are now open to trade, even though trading has taken on a different form for us.

Interesting fact: Although they look silver, the circulation R5, R2 and R1 coins are not made of silver. None of the currency coins in circulation are made from precious metals such as silver and gold. Our circulation R5 is made from a bi-metal alloy, and the R2 and R1 are made from nikel-plated copper.

 

New Sales Order Process under COVID-19.


In line with the COVID-19 protocols and the recommendations made to decrease the spread of the worldwide virus, we have established a process for placing and collecting coin orders which limits the risk of contamination to both our customers and staff. This means that we can now provide you with your favourites from previous years as well as make all our new products fresh from the factory available to you in a quick, effective and, most importantly, safe manner.
